Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Location : Primary School, Sheffield
Start Date : September 2024
Position : Full Time
Salary : £100-£120 per day, DOE
About the Role :
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our vibrant primary school in Sheffield starting in September 2024.
This full-time position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact on our students’ education and development.
Key Responsibilities :
- Supporting teachers in planning and delivering lessons
- Leading small group and one-to-one interventions
- Assisting in the assessment and tracking of student progress
- Managing classroom behavior and fostering a positive learning environment
- Covering classes in the absence of the teacher
- Supporting students with special educational needs
- Participating in school events and extracurricular activities
Skills and Experience Required :
- HLTA qualification or equivalent
- Proven experience working in a primary school setting
- Strong understanding of the primary curriculum
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage and support student behavior effectively
- Commitment to inclusive education and the ability to ad apt to the needs of individual students
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
