About this Role

We are eagerly seeking to employ a dedicated and visionary Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator (SENDCO) to contribute across both our Infant and Junior Schools commencing in September 2024.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a professional who is passionate about making a substantial difference in the lives of students with special educational needs and disabilities.

We are looking for candidates who have :

- Exceptional skills in offering superior support and guidance for SEND coordination across both schools.






- A proven track record as an outstanding educator with high aspirations for student achievement, progress, and conduct, coupled with a commitment to unlocking the full potential of every child.
- The capability to play a pivotal role in the continuous improvement of a school striving for excellence.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, parents, external partners, and other educational institutions, ensuring comprehensive support and seamless educational continuity for SEND pupils.

Duties and Responsibilities :

- Manage all aspects of inclusion and intervention for pupils with additional educational needs.
- Provide strategic leadership for the development and management of SEND provision.
- Identify improvement areas linked to the school development plan and national / local initiatives.
- Model effective strategies for teaching and inclusion.
- Collaborative Teaching and Support
- Adaptive Planning and Teaching Support Teaching Functions :
- Plan and implement learning activities for SEN pupils.






- Maintain and assess records in line with school policies.
- Promote positive behaviour and high standards of learning.
- Monitor and report on pupil progress to parents / carers.
- Attend to the pastoral needs of pupils, promoting well-being and social-emotional development.

Qualifications and Experience :

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with extensive teaching experience.
- Proven experience in SEND coordination and a thorough understanding of SEND legislation and guidelines.
- Training and experience as a Designated Safeguarding Lead.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
