SEN Teaching Assistant
Location : Lincoln, Lincolnshire
Salary : £ - £ per day
Contract : Full Time / Temporary

GSL Education is currently seeking to appoint a qualified and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to undertake a position at one of our client SEN schools in Lincoln, Lincolnshire .
As a SEN Teaching Assistant working with students with special educational needs in schools play a vital role in creating inclusive and supportive learning environments, promoting the well-being and academic success of all students.
Role and Responsibilities :
SEN Teaching assistant provides tailored support to students with special educational needs and mental health concerns.
They work closely with teachers and other professionals to implement strategies outlined in education, health, and care plans.
- SEN Teaching assistants offer emotional support to students with mental health needs, helping them manage emotions, develop coping strategies, and build resilience.
- In situations where students experience mental health crises or emotional distress, TAs may provide immediate support and assistance.
- SEN Teaching assistant in ongoing professional development to enhance their knowledge and skills in supporting students with special educational needs and mental health concerns.
What We Are Looking For :
- Have previous experience working as a Teaching assistance within a Secondary SEN school educational setting.
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Demonstrate empathy, patience, and resilience when working with students facing academic or behavioural challenge.
- Hold relevant qualifications or training in education, childcare, or a related field.
