Knowledge and Qualifications
Essential criteria
Registered Nurse Part 1, 2 or relevant section of the register
Desirable criteria
Relevant post-registration programme
Teaching / Assessment programme
Leadership development programme
Management development programme
Completed / completing Masters Degree or modules at MSc level
Experience
Essential criteria
Post registration experience in same specialty
Skills and Abilities
Essential criteria
Good knowledge of guidelines in relation to Asthma, COPD and Interstitial lung disease
Knowledge and experience in delivering Non-Invasive ventilation
Desirable criteria
Competent in taking arterial and capillary blood gasses
Able to perform skin prick alllergy testing for airborne allergies
Able to do FeNo testing
Able to undertake oxygen assessments for long term oxygen therapy and ambulatory oxygen
