Are you a motivated individual with strong project management skills? Ready to lead, oversee, and coordinate a range of quality and compliance initiatives across Maternity and Neonatal services?
We're excited to announce a 6-month fixed-term position starting in September. This role offers you the opportunity to collaborate with clinical, operational, and governance colleagues, as well as the broader health system, to drive positive change for women and birthing people at Whipps Cross Hospital.
Your focus will be the collection and coordination of evidence to assurance us and our regulators that we are meeting the quality standards expected for the long term.

- Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulation, compliance and action plans
- NHSE Maternity and Neonatal Three-Year Plan
- MSSP Recommended actions
- Quality peer review visits and action plans
- Audits and corrective actions plan

Although this position is a 6 months fixed-term contract, the actual contract duration will be adjusted to account for the time taken to advertise the post, complete the hiring process, and finalise pre-employment checks.
This means the contract will begin when the candidate starts the role and may be slightly shorter than 6 months.

Experience
Essential criteria
- Demonstrable experience of leading change and problem solving in clinical settings, patient care and experience.
- Experience in writing reports / presenting information internally / externally in a timely manner to a range of Senior Managers.
Skills
Essential criteria
Ability to analyse complex issues / problems, identify necessary actions and make recommendations in order to follow these through.
Knowledge
Essential criteria
Possess expertise in the concept of Clinical Governance, Quality Improvement and evidence-based practice associate with the portfolio.
Qualifications
Desirable criteria
- Midwife NMC Registered
- Practitioner
- Degree in Midwifery
Other

- Masters level study
