Job description
Step Teachers are a preferred supplier for Teach in Herts and we are currently working with a Secondary School in Cheshunt who are looking for a Business and Economics Teacher to start after the October half term for a full time role.
This Business and Economics Teacher role is initially on ongoing supply role with the view to be made permanent for a teacher who can make a positive impact within the school.
Consistently rated Good’ under the former Ofsted ratings for schools, this academy aims to provide a rich and high quality curriculum for every student that enables them to develop their knowledge and understanding.

Business and Economics Teacher Role :
- Strong knowledge of the Business Studies and Economics curriculum
- Organised and professional maintenance of the classroom and the associated resources
- Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the department and throughout the school
- Ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback
- Able to plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons in line with the curriculum
- Compliance with the schools’ policies and the reliable implementation of these
Business and Economics Teacher Requirements :
- Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification for teaching in Secondary School
- Have recent mainstream school-based experience as a teacher of Business and / or Economics
- Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management
- A relevant Business Studies or Economics related degree is desirable.
- SEND experience is desirable
