Job description
We are seeking
to appoint an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Officer jointly across the Oxford Department of International Development and the Department of Politics and International Relations.
This is an exciting position which will offer the right candidate the opportunity to shape and lead projects from conception through to final implementation, to fulfil the departments’ Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) strategies.
The Equality Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Officer will support and work closely with both DPIR’s EDI Academic Lead (EDIL) and ODID’s EDI Committee Chair on a range of projects relating to equality, diversity and inclusion.
The role requires a high degree of initiative and independent decision making, including leading projects from conception through to final implementation in-line with the departments’ longer term EDI strategies.
This post is full time and fixed-term for two years in the first instance. About you To be successful in this role, you will be educated to degree level or equivalent, have strong organisational, planning and project management skills, the ability to compile, analyse and manage data, as well as knowledge of Athena Swan and working on equality and diversity issues in the Higher Education sector.
