About the role
Morrison Water Services are currently looking to recruit a Ganger for a two man dig team to work on our Infrastructure Programmes contract in the London and Home Counties Area.
As a Ganger,
you will be a part of our Infrastructure Programmes team who are responsible for installation of district meters, zonal meters, PRV’s, bypass’s, cross connections etc on behalf of Thames Water.
You will be responsible for the completion of all project and contract specific paperwork. You will carry out Health & Safety checks including risk assessments and ensure that all installations meet hygiene practices and essential standards.
In addition, you will communicate with Supervisors, Reinstatement Teams and Support Drivers to ensure the effective coordination of planned work.
You will work in highways with pedestrians and live traffic.
The Key Requirements
Do you have sound knowledge and understanding of meter installations, new service installations and leak repairs?
Are you self-motivated and proactive in your approach?
Do you hold a Water Hygiene and NRSWA Operative Card?
Can you demonstrate knowledge of confined spaces?
Additional Information
- You must possess a high degree of manual dexterity demonstrated through the use of hand tools.
- You will be required to work outdoors in all weathers and be required to walk and stand on uneven ground.
- You must also be able to work within a confined space, without restriction.
- Willing to be flexible due to the nature of the works.
