About the role
The role of Centre Manager for the CDT will have both inward and outward-facing responsibilities. A key aspect is administering the postgraduate research and training aspects of the programme.
This includes the development and delivery of an exciting and diverse doctoral training offer in antimicrobial resistance, co-designed with project partners, as well as ensuring effective procedures are developed, adopted and documented for dealing with all aspects including enquiries, applications, admissions, and progression.
In addition, the postholder will have responsibility for managing two further posts, a Centre Administrator (1 FTE) and a Centre Partnerships Manager ( FTE).
Furthermore,
the postholder will be responsible for representing the Centre at national meetings and networks. The postholder will lead in achieving a high quality and timely service to current and prospective students, and staff relating to the designated courses / programmes and beyond.
About you
The role will include administration for all matters relating to the research, teaching and learning activities of students from enquiry to completion, incorporating organisation of Committees and processes relating to assessment, student and course records.
To succeed, the postholder must be efficient, organised and take great care in attention to detail. In addition, the role requires interaction with many people within and external to UCL, thus a professional attitude, willingness to help and a positive outlook are essential.
Experience of basic financial management and excellent numeracy skills with the ability to present and interpret statistics are also required for the role.
