Cedar is currently partnered with an international PE-backed Renewable Energy business to support with the recruitment of an Interim Finance Manager based in Central London. This is a 6-month contract role, offering a day rate between £400 - £475 (Umbrella).
The Role
As Interim Finance Manager, your duties will include:
- Managing routine accounting and general ledger processes
- Overseeing vendor management, including AP reporting, bill reconciliation, and payments
- Handling monthly sales billing and corporate credit card management
- Preparing cash requests and complete monthly bank reconciliations
- Supporting R&D; tax credit processes in collaboration with European partners
- Leading month-end close process,
including accrual posting, trial balance review, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparing and analysing performance reports, budgeting, and forecasting
- Coordinating statutory audits and ensure tax compliance with appointed advisors
- Overseeing VAT submissions, reviews, corrections, and liaise with HMRC for audits
Your Profile
You will ideally have:
- A formal accountancy qualification (e.g. ACA/CIMA/CA).
- 2+ years of post-qualified experience in industry or be industry-trained in a similar role.
- While not essential, previous experience in energy or infrastructure businesses is advantageous for this role.
- Technical proficiency in using accounting systems, with Netsuite experience being preferred.
- The day rate of £400 - £475 (Umbrella) represents a fair value, or logical increase on your previous salary or day rate.
- Availability to start immediately.
