The Occupational Health Nurse is an integral part of the team, providing a compassionate, professional clinical service that is instrumental in the quality of care our clients receive. This role requires an ability to assess and manage minor injury and illness, deliver health and wellbeing initiatives, and work with external organisations and other healthcare professionals.







This is a full time role, 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday. You will be based 2 days a week on a site near Battersea, 3 days a week working across a range of client sites in London
The Salary range for this role is £36k - £38k per annum
What you'll be doing:
• Full OH/Treatment service in line with the client contract including wellbeing assessments, health promotion, advice and education, health surveillance, safety critical medicals, D&A; testing etc. following DHC guidelines and written instructions.
• Provide professional advice, support and guidance.
• Assess new clients presenting to Occupational Health
• Assess individual’s fitness to work for the appropriate job role.
• Provide clinical assessment of clients presenting with minor illness and injury
• Support the OH Manager to advise, monitor and assess the clinical practice of the OH team
• Provide health surveillance
• Ensure clinical assessment skills are maintained in line with best practice
Qualifications






• Previous Occupational Health experience is preferable.
• Registered Nurse (Part 1)
• Experience within A&E;
• Excellent knowledge of occupational health and employment legislation
SkillsQualified or Registered Nurse with a valid NMC PIN, a diploma or degree in Occupational Health is preferableWillingness to travel; Full UK driving licence and own transportDemonstrates a clear understanding of professional accountability in the scope of professional practiceKnowledge and experience of working in occupational healthIT literateApproachable, polite and friendly to build and maintain strong working relationships and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team environmentMaintain medical / personal confidentiality as appropriateTeam player who welcomes challenge and is committed to results,





curious to understand, learn and develop themselves and othersAble to prioritise own workload and manage own time, self-motivated and capable of working flexibly and to strict deadlines using own initiativeExperience working within A&E;/intensive careEvidence of up to date knowledge base of professional and specialist issuesVehicle ownerConfidence, assertiveness, tact, diplomacy and empathy for dealing with clientsExperience of conducting pre-placement assessments and reviewsExperience of producing own reports administrative activities and arranging own appointmentsEducation & QualificationsBachelors Degree in NursingDiploma in Occupational HealthSalaryCertificationsNursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registrationCompany Benefits
