The Opportunity
Our award winning national Town Planning team uses its expertise in planning policy, consenting for major infrastructure development, socio-economics, social value and stakeholder engagement to solve our client’s problems. We work across housing, commercial, energy, water, rail aviation and highways sectors on some of the country’s most high profile and complex problems. This includes with central Government local and devolved authorities,
developers and infrastructure providers.
We are looking for town planners to join our UK team across a range of roles covering Planner, Senior Planner, Principal Planner, Associate and Associate Director levels. We are particularly looking for individuals who bring skills and expertise in delivering major infrastructure consents (e.g. DCOs, hybrid bills, TWA, TCPA) and preparing planning policy.

Required Skills and Knowledge
- Degree in town planning or similar.
- Knowledge of relevant planning legislation and planning policy.
- Experience of producing outputs required to support infrastructure consenting or production of planning policy e.g. consents strategies, application documents, evidence base documents.
- Experience of undertaking socioeconomics assessment, equality impact assessments or developing social value offers
For the more senior roles
- Project management skills with a successful record in planning and delivery of projects.
- Commercial/financial management that can be applied to the profitable management of projects.
- Experience of business development including successfully bidding for work.
- Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI)
