We have a temporary vacancy for secondment cover on our Central London Band 6 Physiotherapy Rotation. The rotation includes; Falls Prevention Service, Bedded Rehabilitation, Neuro Rehabilitation and Learning Disabilities. The rotation will be based in bedded Rehabilitation. These services see residents of Westminster, Kensington and Chelsea and Hammersmith and Fulham and the posts are subject to the maximum higher cost living allowance of 20% for Central London.
All the rotations are supported by senior clinicians who are passionate about training and developing band 5 and 6 colleagues. All post holders have regular supervision, In Service Training,
quarterly professional practice workshops and yearly appraisal as well as access to the CLCH Academy which includes funding to attend external courses. All rotations have a strong MDT focus and give candidates the opportunity to work alongside Occupational Therapists, Rehabilitation Assistants, Nurses, Doctors, Consultants, Speech and Language Therapists, Dietitians and Psychologists.
We are looking for a Physiotherapist who is ready to test their skills in a community setting, serving the multifaceted and diverse populations of Central London, who strives to deliver high quality and holistic care. Main duties of the job
Be an active member of the clinical team, providing a comprehensive Physiotherapy service to residents of Westminster, Kensington and Chelsea and Hammersmith and Fulham within each specialist rotational area
Work within professional standards and clinical guidelines,
promote best practice and undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner including assessing and treating own caseload of patients/clients and maintaining professional documentation.
Build up and maintain key relationships with referring services across CLCH including the Community Neurorehabilitation Service, Bedded Rehabilitation Unit, Learning Disabilities Team, and the Falls Prevention Service to facilitate appropriate referrals and an understanding of the role of the Physiotherapist and the multi-professional team
Be responsible for the supervision of junior staff, Rehabilitation Assistants and Physiotherapy students
Participate in Central London Community Healthcare Band 6 specialist rotations.
Rotations are in Community Neuro Rehabilitation, Inpatient Rehabilitation,
Learning Disabilities and the Falls Service.
Work in a variety of settings including; bedded rehab, clinics, clients own home, residential care homes, and community centres
Support self and service development through active participation in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and by participating in any audit or research being undertaken by the service.
