Established in 1965, the Lockwood Group is a family run business and currently has over 370 employees spanning 7 UK sites. The group’s activities include UK haulage and storage, frozen food production and co-packing solutions.
We are currently looking to recruit an FLT Driver (including Canopy Supervisor cover duties) to be based at our Ambergate, Derbyshire site. Previous Warehouse experience or experience of a similar role is essential. Must have be motivated and able to work on own initiative.
About the role:-
Working hours are 12.00pm to 8.30pm, operating on a Monday to Friday basis. Hourly rate will be based on relevant licences held. Forklift Truck licence is essential.
Applicants will also need a full UK driving licence and checkable references.
Responsibilities:-
- Be responsible for the safe loading and unloading of incoming and outgoing trailers, reading and following manifests provided.
- To be responsible for receiving and inspection of deliveries and ensuring that safe unloading procedures are followed.
- To ensure pallets are labelled correctly prior to loading.
- To demonstrate a good understanding of the scanner operation.
- To ensure goods for dispatch are up to Customer Satisfaction ie, completing spot checks of the condition of the pallets.
- Covering the Canopy Supervisor during periods of absence.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:-
- Current full Forklift Truck Licence
- Prior FLT driving experience
- Previous warehouse experience
- Leadership skills
- Able to use own inititive
- Work well as a team
- Good timekeeping
