Applicants must have full GMC Registration, a license to practise and eligible for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register.
Those trained in the UK should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from the date of interview.
Portfolio Pathway (formerly known as CESR - Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration) route doctors are only eligible to apply for a substantive consultant post once it has been awarded.
Non-UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training.
Applications are welcomed to apply for 2 Locum Consultant positions in Forensic Pathology, available from December 1st 2024 and 1st March 2025 for one year in the first instance,
offering the successful candidates the opportunity to work within Forensic Pathology in one of the leading Forensic Pathology services in the United Kingdom.
The post will be based in Forensic Pathology, NHS Lothian, NINE Building and the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at the Edinburgh BioQuarter, Little France.
Candidates must hold FRCPath in Histopathology, (or equivalent qualification) and be on the specialist register or be within 6 months of obtaining CCST on the day of interview.
