NHS Highland is offering an opportunity to learn while you earn.
In order to be eligible for the Modern Apprenticeship Programme, applicants must be aged between 16 to 24 years old on the start date of the programme (or up to 29 years for disabled applicants or those that are care experienced*).
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a desire to develop their knowledge and skills in administration and consider a career in the Human Resource profession.
The successful candidate will be supported through an SVQ in Business and Administration (SCQF Level 6) and CIPD Foundation Certificate in People Practice.
You will work with colleagues across the People Services (HR) team,
providing organisational administrative support. Candidates must be committed to all aspects of learning and development in the role and will be fully supported to work across the team to help develop as broad an understanding of the profession as possible.
You should be highly motivated and committed to join our Modern Apprenticeship in Business and Administration. We are looking for someone with strong communication skills, with an ability to understand a range of procedures and processes and can demonstrate attention to detail.
You should have a particular interest in administrative roles, along with a positive approach to work and good IT skills.
You will hold a minimum Secretarial / Administration qualification at Higher grade / SVQ 3 level or able to evidence equivalent competence or experience.
This Apprenticeship does not require previous experience within this sector and we would therefore encourage applications from school leavers and young people with limited work experience.
The post is graded as Band 3. If appointed, you will be paid in accordance with Annex 21. A post with Annex 21 applied is paid a percentage of the fully qualified rate during the period of training as follows : Year 1 : 70% of the pay band maximum;
Year 2 : 75% of the pay band maximum (uplifted to the Scottish Living Wage) per annum.
The postholder will be based in Assynt House, Inverness. This is a full time, 37 hours per week job role.
