Job Title : Corporate Communications Manager
Division : Corporate

Purpose of Role : You will play a leadership role in development and delivery of the communications and corporate affairs strategy and activating and embedding Weir’s refreshed brand positioning Mining technology for a sustainable future.
You will be responsible for developing and leading internal communications strategies that drive employee connection and engagement with Weir, our purpose, brand and strategy, under common frameworks and through leveraging the communications community across Weir.
You will also develop and lead delivery of corporate affairs plans to raise Weir’s profile and impact with external audiences,
supporting Weir’s strategy and a re-rating in valuation.
This includes leading aspects of delivery of communications for results, annual reporting and other corporate events. This role requires specialist experience in internal communications, PR, media relations, corporate affairs and corporate communications together with a strong understanding of Weir’s industry / business and proven ability to build productive and collaborative relationships across organisations.

Key Responsibilities :
- Partner with Director of Corporate Communications to set and deliver the Weir communications and corporate affairs strategy, aligned to corporate goals and objectives.
- Own and lead internal comms strategy, planning process to communicate and engage employees on business strategy and performance.
- Manage reputation and corporate stakeholders (via delivery of media relations, social impact, corporate affairs and crisis management comms) and support delivery of results communications and annual report.
- Lead, develop and motivate a team of internal communications specialists to provide advice, analysis and support to Weir.

Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications :
- A proven track record of leading communications across a global organisation, devising and executing internal communications and corporate affairs plans.
- Demonstrates a creative approach to outcome-led communications while working within corporate frameworks and with high attention detail.
- Experience of managing a team of communicators to deliver against plans and goals.
- Experience in devising and implementing systems for evaluating the effectiveness of communications.
