23 : 59 Interview Date : Thursday 14 November 2024 About Camden Camden is changing on the inside to make life better for everyone.

Our residents and communities are at the heart of everything we do.

We’re home to the most important conversations happening today and we’re making radical social change a reality, so that nobody gets left behind.

Here’s where you can help decide a better future for us all. About London ADASS London ADASS (Association of the Directors of Adult Social Services)

is a professional association that brings together the directors of adult social care in London to work together to improve and sustain social care.

Camden Council hosts the London ADASS team.

London ADASS aims to collaborate, share good practice and work together to promote high standards of social care. What You’ll Be Doing We are seeking an experienced leader to take on the role of Programme Director for London ADASS.

In this role, you will provide strategic leadership, manage programme activities, and set future work priorities for London ADASS in collaboration with Directors of Adult Social Services (DASSs) across London.

You will play a key role in developing and driving the London ADASS programme of regional priorities, ensuring projects deliver expected outcomes.

You will advise and collaborate with Directors of Adult Social Care, senior leaders, and partners to ensure strong strategic alignment and engagement.

You’ll play pivotal role in identifying and addressing London wide issues to drive the transformation of adult social care, sharing best practice and advocating for high standards to influence policy.

You’ll build and maintain strong partnerships with key stakeholders to foster collaboration across the sector as well as oversee business planning, programme implementation, and financial management to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

You will provide leadership and guidance to the London ADASS team, promoting flexibility and teamwork.

You will act as the main point of contact for national ADASS, other regional leads and Partners in Care and Health (PCH) to ensure alignment with national priorities, and secure funding to support programme activities where possible.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Enhanced DBS. All About You We are seeking a highly experienced professional with a strong background in adult social care at a senior level, ideally with a proven track record of leading complex, high-profile programmes and driving improvement in the sector.

You should be a strategic thinker, capable of identifying opportunities for positive change within a challenging environment.

A commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion is essential, as is the ability to integrate these values into all aspects of your work.

You will bring excellent leadership and motivational skills, with experience in managing people, finances, and overseeing large-scale programmes or change management initiatives.

Expertise in adult social care systems, services, and policy is key, alongside a solid understanding of the economic and financial complexities of the NHS and local government, particularly in London.

Experience working with diverse partners, including those with lived experience of adult social care, is essential, as is the ability to navigate complex and changing landscapes.

Strong communication skills, both written and oral, will be vital for presenting complex issues and influencing stakeholders.

You should be able to manage multiple projects, balance competing demands, meet deadlines, and interpret data effectively.

The ability to engage inclusively with those who draw on care and support, and develop strategies in collaboration with them, is a must.

There is an expectation that the postholder will need to be in the Camden council office at least once a week and meetings around London as required.
