Job description

In the role of Assistant Director of SalesMICE and reporting directly into the Director of Sales &Marketing; you will be responsible for working closelywith the Senior Commercial Team to drive business needs and expandexisting business through proactive efforts and sales channels.

Youwill work to develop client engagement levels and a highperformingsales team. Specifically you will be responsible for performing thefollowing tasks to the higheststandards :

- Withthe guidance of the Director of Sales be responsible for the day today management and motivating of the MICE Sales team to ensure thesales budget is achieved / surpassed.






- Prepare andpresent on a monthly basis the contribution focus and activity ofthe MICE proactive & reactive salesteam.
- Contribute to the development of companysales and marketing initiatives by recommending implementing andmonitoring appropriate activity.
- Work closelywith the MICE Sales Office Manager on the MICE Diary availability& pricing strategy.
- Lead specialprojects that are time bound with strong management andcommunication ensuring the success of eachtask.
- Be actively involved in the creation anddelivery of the hotels sales & marketing plans to ensurethey accurately interpret and support the objectives of thebusiness and use these plans to focus the sales efforts for theMICE segment.
- To meet all individual KPIs andmanage the team to achieve the same.
- Manage aselect portfolio of accounts in agreement with theDOSM.
- Part of your role will include conductingsales trips and attending trade shows in both the UK andoversees.
- Assist with the recruitment processfor MICE Sales team member ensuring effective processes are inplace for the induction training and development of all teammembers.






- Ensure performance is reviewed on aregular basis recognising and celebrating success and refocusingeffort where required.
- To assist in the settingof clear expectations and ensure business strategies are followedand met. Identify areas of risk &opportunity.;
- Contribute to relevant managementmeetings to develop and implement salesinitiatives.
- Cooperate with other departmentsin the hotel particularly Reservations and Banqueting to create anexceptional Guest experience and build a strong &comprehensive; sales offering.
- Work with theAccor HQ Sales team to actively develop existing and newrelationships and businessopportunities.
- Understand and report on newemergingmarkets / sectors

Qualifications

- Fluencyin English written and spoken is amust.
- Minimum 2 years experience in a seniorMICE Salesposition







It wouldbe advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate thefollowing capabilities anddistinctions :

- Knowledge ofLocal European & International MICE Markets &Sectors;
- Third level qualification in a relevantfield
- Passion for sales and for achievingtargets and objectives
- Strong knowledge ofOpera & DelphiFDC
