Job description
At Leader Education , we are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant (TA) to join and support secondary-aged students.
The ideal Teaching Assistant will have experience working with young people who have social, emotional, or behavioural difficulties, as well as a genuine commitment to helping them reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities :
- Assist teachers in the delivery of a diverse and engaging curriculum.
- Provide one-on-one support to students with individualised learning plans.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Monitor and manage student's behaviour and wellbeing.
- Support the development of social and emotional skills.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to create an effective learning environment.
- Prepare and adapt learning materials to meet the needs of students.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed.
- Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and external agencies as required.
Qualifications :
- Candidates will need an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or the willingness to obtain one.
- Minimum of a high school diploma; a relevant teaching assistant qualification is desirable.
- Previous experience working with secondary-aged students in an educational setting.
- A compassionate and empathetic approach to supporting young people with diverse needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Resilience and adaptability when faced with challenging situations.
- A commitment to continuous professional development.
