Absolutely who is a part of CitySprint have an exciting opportunity for a Control Assistant to assist the Control Team by coordinating all designated couriers ensuring a high level of support to the control and operations of Absolutely’s Central Sameday operation.
Endeavour to create efficiencies within the Control Team whilst maintaining effective courier relationships and building proactive communications with the customers.
The main responsibilities within the Control Assistant role are :
- Act in partnership with the Controller / s for your designated channel, dealing with inbound telephone enquiries from couriers, customers and other internal colleagues.
- Monitor emails and other internal communication channels, such as Teams, regularly to ensure timely, professional responses to all queries.
- Endeavour to make sure that jobs run on time as per customer requirements by proactively monitoring job requirements and liaising closely with the Controllers for anticipated delays.
- Check traffic and weather conditions, keeping customers and drivers informed of any changes.
- Ensure any additional customer charges such as waiting time’ are entered onto the booking system accurately
- Liaise with the Fleet department with regards to any driver absences or performance issues.
- Maintain up to date information regarding customers and / or individual bookings within the operating system.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following :
- Ability to prioritise tasks / workload in line with changing business needs in a busy and time sensitive environment.
- Acts professionally in all spoken and written communications with both internal and external parties.
- Understand business patterns and proactively contributes to planning for success in peak periods.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Basic computer skills full Microsoft Office suite
The successful candidate will be required to undergo a DBS check as part of the recruitment process. Conditional job offers are subject to a satisfactory DBS check.
