About the Role :
As a Marketing and Promotions Assistant , you will play a crucial role in supporting and executing event-based campaigns designed to boost our clients' visibility and customer engagement.
This entry-level position offers comprehensive training, focusing on face-to-face sales, promotions, and event activations that are integral to raising awareness and generating support for our non-profit partners.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve coordinating and participating in various events across Manchester and beyond.
You will directly interact with members of the public to promote our clients' causes, build relationships,
and secure ongoing contributions through face-to-face sales and promotional techniques.
Responsibilities :
- Sales & Engagement : Actively engage with the public to promote non-profit organizations and commercial clients, utilizing compelling sales pitches and promotional materials to secure donations and ongoing support.
- Promotional Strategy Execution : Implement and execute on-site marketing strategies to create maximum brand exposure, aligning closely with the goals and needs of each campaign.
- Market Research & Feedback Collection : Gather insights and feedback from public interactions to help the team adjust marketing strategies and ensure campaign success.
- Team Support & Collaboration : Work collaboratively with your colleagues to achieve event objectives, sharing best practices and refining tactics to maximize impact and hit sales targets.
- Customer Service : Provide potential supporters with detailed information about our campaigns, ensuring each interaction is positive and informative to encourage long-term engagement.
- Sales Data Management :
Track and report on sales data and event performance, assisting in the evaluation and improvement of our marketing campaigns.
Requirements :
- Full and unrestricted right to work in the UK. We cannot consider Tier 4 or PSW visas.
- Must not have applied for any openings within the past 30 days.
- A strong interest in marketing, promotions, and sales; previous experience in customer-facing roles such as retail, hospitality, or promotions is advantageous but not required.
- Flexibility to work full-time, including weekends and evenings, as events may occur during these times.
- Ability to work confidently in face-to-face sales environments ; this role involves direct public engagement,
and you should be comfortable communicating effectively with diverse audiences.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to create a positive rapport quickly.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, thriving in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
- Passion for supporting non-profit causes and making a meaningful difference through marketing and sales initiatives. (Please note : This is not a digital marketing role.)
