About the Role :
We are looking for a talented Front-End Developer to take charge of a bespoke WordPress website redesign project.
You will be responsible for implementing pixel-perfect designs and ensuring the website delivers a seamless user experience with smooth animations, hover states, and micro-interactions.
This is an excellent opportunity to work with a renowned digital agency and potentially secure long-term freelance engagements.
We are looking for candidates who are experts in Front End Development as opposed to a split between development and design.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the front-end development for a bespoke WordPress project, focusing on delivering sleek, responsive, and high-performance web pages.
- Collaborate with talented designers to apply brand elements consistently across multiple site pages.
- Implement custom front-end solutions using PHP , ensuring high performance, responsiveness, and visual polish.
- Develop and optimize hover states, animations, and micro-interactions to create an engaging and interactive user experience.
- Ensure that designs and interactions are executed with pixel-perfect accuracy.
Requirements :
- Proven experience as a Front-End Developer with a strong portfolio demonstrating at least five high-quality website projects.
- Expertise in WordPress front-end development , including custom theme development using PHP .
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript , and modern frameworks / libraries.
- Experience working with UX / UI designers to bring design concepts to life in WordPress.
- Keen attention to detail with a focus on delivering smooth, engaging, and responsive web interfaces.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet tight project deadlines.
Preferred Experience :
- Familiarity with integrating complex UX / UI designs into WordPress.
- Previous experience working with creative teams on high-end digital projects.
Contract Details :
- Freelance position for 2.5 - 4 weeks with potential for ongoing collaboration.
- Rate : £300 - £650 per day, depending on experience.
- Start Date : Immediate need, project commencing in November.
