This is an excitingopportunity to lead a dedicated team of Physics teachers in adynamic department. You will play a pivotal role in shaping thefuture of Physics education at the school inspiring students todevelop a deep understanding of the subject and a passion forscientific exploration.
KeyResponsibilities :
- Leadership andManagement :
- Providevisionary leadership for the Physics department setting cleardirection and promoting a culture of continuousimprovement.
- Lead the development andimplementation of a stimulating and challenging Physics curriculumensuring it aligns with the National Curriculum and incorporatesthe latest advancements in Physics education.
- Oversee the recruitment development and performancemanagement of the Physics teaching staff.
- Budget effectively to ensure the department has thenecessary resources to deliver highquality teaching andlearning.
- Teachingand Learning :
- Contribute to the teaching of Physics across thecurriculum potentially including Key Stage 3 (Years 78) and KeyStage 4 (Years 911).
- Foster a love of Physicsin students and equip them with the knowledge skills andunderstanding to excel in the subject.
- Utilizea variety of teaching methods to cater to diverse learning stylesand ensure all students reach their full potential.
The IdealCandidate :
- A highlyqualified and experienced Physics teacher with a proven trackrecord of leadership success.
- A deepunderstanding of the National Curriculum for Physics and a passionfor innovative teaching methods.
- Excellentcommunication interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- The ability to motivate and inspire students fostering alove of Physics and scientific inquiry.
- Strongleadership and management skills with the ability to lead anddevelop a team effectively.
