Senior CAD Technician - Job Description/ Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior CAD Tech to join their civil engineering team with expertise in Civils and / or water industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, modifying, and finalising detailed engineering drawings using software such as Civil 3D and AutoCAD. The candidate should have a strong background in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Civil works and water industry.

Responsibilities

- Create detailed and accurate engineering drawings using Civil 3D and AutoCAD
- Provide technical support to engineering teams and project managers on design and drafting matters
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications
- Review and check drawings created by other team members for accuracy and completeness
- Work collaboratively with other team members to resolve design issues and achieve project goals






- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry standards and software advancements to improve design and drafting processes
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project files and documentation
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and contractors

Senior CAD Technician - What my client will need from you

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Experience in Civil Engineering, with a focus on temporary works and water industry (desirable)
- Proficiency in Civil 3D and AutoCAD
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve design issues
