Ital Logistics Limited, based in Rochdale, was founded in 2000 to provide road freight transport services to and from Italy. Over the years, the company expanded its services to include road freight to and from Spain, Portugal, Greece, Malta, France, Germany, Gibraltar, and Andorra. We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join our team. As a Warehouse Operative,
you will be responsible for various duties related to loading and unloading of trailers and containers, materials handling, and other general warehouse operations.
Overview
- Must hold a valid forklift licence for a minimum of 1 year as well as 1 years’ experience working in a warehouse
- Experience in loading / unloading groupage shipments and trailers although this is not essential as we would complete in house training
- Experience in handling ADR, although this is not essential as we would complete in house training
- Must have IT experience
- Would be required to use our in house software (training will be provided) to book shipments in / out using iPads
- Must have good communication skills
- Must have good attention to detail
- In time the ‘odd’ Saturday AM would be required (however this would be paid @ time ½)
Description
- Unloading / reloading international and domestic vehicles from single groupage shipments to full loads
- Book shipments in / out as well as organising them in the warehouse
- Use our in house freight software
- Labelling & checking incoming shipments
- General housekeeping duties in the warehouse
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse to ensure a safe working environment
- Ensure that all health and safety processes are followed in line with company policy
Package
- 4 day week comprising of 40 hours + overtime
- Salary subject to experience
- Holidays 16 days + bank holidays rising to 20 days + bank holidays after 5 years’ service
