Blue Arrow are recruiting for a Canteen Stores Assistant to work at HMP Edinburgh. This is a 6 week role initially that will see you provide an effective and efficient canteen service to the prisoner population, working in a stores environment.
Main duties:
* Deliver an effective and efficient canteen service
* Contribute towards an effective stock management system
* Deliver canteen items to prisoner accommodation areas
* Process canteen sheets through the Prisoner Records System
* Collect and check all prisoner canteen sheets
* Collect sundry sheets and deliver prisoner sundry items to prisoners accommodation areas
* Assist with incoming deliveries,
which may require the post holder to lift heavy stock items and deliver canteen stock items within the establishment on a daily basis
* Collect newspaper/magazines and deliver to the prisoner accommodation areas
* Reconcile canteen sheets through the computerised till
* Work under the direction of the Canteen Administrator
* Conduct weekly/monthly stock checks, and maintain stock levels and reorder stock on a weekly basis
* Process canteen invoices for payment
* Process all prisoner canteen and sundry request to set deadlines
* Communicate with other internal departments and other external companies
