We have an opportunity to join our Facilities Management team, working for NYC as a Building Cleaner.







Building Cleaners play a key role in ensuring that Council’s buildings are clean and safe for customers and staff. They are responsible for ensuring this valuable service is operated with maximum availability across the network with any maintenance tasks quickly logged with colleagues.

Hours of work will be 8:00 am - 10:00 am, Monday-Friday, at Stonefall Crematorium.

The role is extremely varied, and you will be responsible for a range of areas including:

- General dusting of furniture, fixings, and fittings
- Emptying wastepaper bins
- Wiping surfaces, fixtures, fittings, paintwork
- Cleaning around toilet areas
- Dust control, mopping/sweeping/vacuuming of floors
- Using cleaning materials as instructed

You will be self-motivated and be capable of working under your own supervision. Part of your job role includes reporting of site issues to your cleaning supervisor. You will be working at various locations throughout the area, including other buildings.
