Full job description
We are seeking a fundraiser to join our small team here at Flight Free UK. The role is part
time (3 days per week/24 working hours), for a fixed term of nine months, with a salary of £20k-£27k pro rata, depending on experience.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to gain more experience in the
charity/fundraising sector.
The role
As our Fundraiser, we would like you to:
Seek and apply for grant funding
Organise our annual fundraiser and fundraising event
Manage our regular donors and encourage more people to give regularly
The role involves:
Communicating with our supporters, via email and social media
Using design software (Canva) to create promotional visuals
Internet research of potential grant funders
Completing funding applications online
Event management
The role is remote (from your home location) and largely self-directed with line-management and
regular supervision from the campaign director.

The successful candidate will be:
Well-organised and astute
Personable, friendly and passionate about the cause
Motivated and capable of self-directed work
The successful candidate will have:
Strong communication skills and a high standard of written English
Good computer and internet literacy
Access to your own laptop
Some experience in fundraising and/or event management
The role is non-payroll, i.e. you will be freelance and will be responsible for your own tax.
The organisation
Flight Free UK is a behaviour change charity that encourages people to fly less, in order to
reduce emissions and create a social shift away from taking flights as the norm. We have been
running for five years and are looking to expand our team. Successful fundraising is a key part
of that!
The team is led by the director Anna Hughes, the only full time member of staff. We have a
vibrant team of volunteer interns which changes every few months. There is no office and as
such we all work remotely, from home. We hold monthly video calls for the whole team.
