My client, an International Bank, are looking for a Business Continuity/Operational Resilience Testing specialist to join their growing team in London. Please note that for this role they would require you to be in the office 3 times per week.
About the Business Continuity/Operational Resilience Testing Role:
Responsible for developing, embedding and managing the Operational Resilience framework, tools and methodologies in line with regulatory requirements to enable the achievement of my client's strategic objectives. This framework covers regulatory requirements across the UK (FCA/PRA) and the EU Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for developing,
embedding and managing the Operational Resilience framework, tools and methodologies in line with regulatory requirements to enable the achievement of my client's strategic objectives.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Responsible for building awareness and understanding of Operational Resilience across the firm, leading communications and training campaigns at all levels.
- Responsible for maintaining strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, helping Service Owners, Resource Owners and Operational Resilience Coordinators perform their duties in line with regulatory expectations.
- Responsible for managing the delivery of all Operational Resilience testing requirements, including:
- Creating and gaining agreement to a testing schedule covering all Operational Resilience, and Business Continuity testing requirements.
- Coordinate all pre-testing activity, including scoping documentation, testing packs, logistical requirements with relevant stakeholders
- Coordinate the facilitation of all testing activities,
including the leading of testing exercises where appropriate.
- Ensure that all testing requirements comply with UK Operational Resilience Policy, DORA, and Internal policy testing for Business Continuity.
- Responsible for establishing and managing the process to assess vulnerabilities, and define and deliver remedial actions:
- Support the business areas with assessing and prioritising weaknesses and vulnerabilities in resilience;
- Help the business to define appropriate remedial actions;
- Track delivery of actions and review evidence of gap closure.
- Be the central point of contact for all Operational Resilience testing requirements support coordination across other related testing activates across the business (eg disaster recovery,
cyber security, etc.)
Skills and knowledge required:
- Technical knowledge
- Detailed knowledge of the Operational Resilience Policy Statements (March 2021)
- Knowledge of EU Digital Operational Resilience Act requirements.
- Knowledge of Operational Risk, Operational Resilience and Business Continuity tools, methodologies and best practice
- Experience delivering a Testing capability covering Operational Resilience and Business Continuity.
- Understanding of the Crisis Management and Business Continuity life-cycles.
- Previous testing experience across a multi-country landscape desirable.

- Ability to identify and resolve risks and issues, or prompt escalation to management if they are not able to be resolved
- Ability to develop solutions to complex problems and makes recommendations to management
- Communication & Influencing skills
- Advocate for operational resilience and builds strong relationships with senior stakeholders across all business areas to ensure deliver and embedder of operational resilience throughout the organisation
- Ability to build collaborative relationships across the business, working closely with internal customers
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, persuades and includes others using a range of approaches to achieve deliverables
- Proven facilitation skills
- No qualifications required; qualified through experience
