We are working with a global CDMO specialising in sterile manufacturing, small molecule and APIs (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients) drug development.
In this UK facility, they service customers across Europe and USA.
This roles is part of the senior leadership of the company providing strategic across the business.
Key responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Provide leadership and mentorship to the Development Department which is a team of 15. The current team includes Technical Project Managers, Engineers Stability & QC Technicians. You will also continue to build the team. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the department.
- Project Management:
Management of projects from tech-transfer initiation to commercialisation
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with R&D;, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Sales, and Regulatory teams to ensure smooth product development and market entry. Lead collaborative efforts to meet launch timelines and maintain high product standards.
- Performance Monitoring: Establish KPIs to track product performance, from initial launch to ongoing market presence. Use data-driven insights to adjust strategies and improve product success rates.
- Customer Engagement: Act as a key point of contact for customers, translating their needs into actionable product features. Drive customer satisfaction through active engagement and by aligning products with market demands.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Business, or a related field; an advanced degree (MBA or PhD) is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in product management within the pharmaceutical or CDMO sector, specifically with expertise in sterile manufacturing,
small molecules, or APIs under MHRA, EMA and FDA guidelines.
- Leadership experience, with a focus on team development and fostering a collaborative work culture.
- Proven experience in managing product development portfolios and leading cross-functional teams.
- Strong commercial and strategic acumen, with demonstrated success in supporting Commercial teams in negotiations and customer engagements.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders at all levels.
