Classroom Assistant - Secondary School
Location : Wythenshawe based Secondary School, Greater Manchester
Salary : £445 - £550 per week - Experience Dependant
Type : Full-time, Fixed-Term
Start Date : November 2024

Our partner school is well-regarded in the local area for its supportive environment and vibrant community. Easily accessible via major motorway links and nearby bus routes, the school prides itself on fostering a nurturing atmosphere for both staff and students.
The role is full-time from 8.30am until 3.30pm on an asap start basis covering a ongoing role that will likely be until July 2025.
Key Role Highlights and Responsibilities
As a Classroom Assistant, you will benefit from a nurturing and accelerated journey across a range of subjects in multiple year groups.
- Graduates from all subject specialisms are welcome to apply but preference would be on a specialist in working with young adults who have SEND.
- Must be driven and passionate about improving outcomes for children.
- Committed and motivated to become an educator, supporting teaching and learning for children and young people.
- Deliver and review lessons appropriate for pupils across KS3 / KS4 with full support and training provided.
- Engage with other class teachers and the Senior Leadership Team (SLT)
to develop reflective classroom practice.
Essential Requirements
- previous experience working with young people within a similar setting is essential.
- must be 21 or over to assist in a secondary school.
- Graduates from all subject specialisms are encouraged to apply.
- Minimum grade C / 4 or above in GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
- Current DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain a new one.
