We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to join our thriving department in a dynamic and supportive Southwark secondary school for girls.
About the Role :
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and informative Food Technology lessons across all Key Stages, fostering a love of learning and a practical understanding of food science and nutrition.
- Create a stimulating and safe learning environment that promotes creativity, experimentation and a respect for healthy eating habits.
- Develop and implement a rigorous curriculum that meets national standards, while also incorporating innovative and contemporary approaches to food education.
- Assess student progress effectively, providing constructive feedback and guidance to ensure all students reach their full potential.
- Contribute to the wider school community, collaborating with colleagues across departments and participating in school events.
The Ideal Candidate :
- A qualified Food Technology Teacher (QTS or equivalent) with a strong track record of success in a secondary school setting.
- Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for food science, nutrition, and healthy eating.
- The ability to create engaging and practical lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students of all ages and backgrounds.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of all students.
- IT literate with a willingness to embrace new technologies in the classroom.
