Salary : Grade E. SCP 11 £18,525 - SCP 16 £20,167 (TTO, Actual salary)
Hours Per Week : 30 Hours Per Week, Monday Friday
Base Location : St Raphaels Catholic Primary School, Huddersfield Road, Millbrook, Stalybridge, SK15 3JL
Assessment Date : Monday 18

The Governing Board of this welcoming, successful school is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated and skilled level 3 teaching assistant.
You must have excellent literacy and numeracy skills, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent and experience of working with children in primary phases.
Experience of working with SEN pupils would be an advantage. Also, an interest in outdoor learning or forest school would be an advantage.
Previous applicants need not apply.
A working understanding of effective teaching and learning is essential, and you must be able to demonstrate an understanding of how children learn.
- You must be able to;
- Promote and support the Catholic ethos of the school
- Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils within the classroom
- Support pupils consistently whilst recognising and responding to their individual needs
- Promote independence and employ strategies to develop self-reliance
- Provide feedback to pupils in relation to progress and achievement
- Be able to use your initiative while following the overall direction of the class and school policies
- Work with the teacher to establish an appropriate learning environment including support with lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons / work plans as appropriate
- Monitor & evaluate pupils’ responses to learning against pre-determined learning objectives
- Provide objective & accurate feedback & reports to the teacher on pupil achievement
- Provide emergency class cover
