Our thriving secondary school in West London seeks a talented and enthusiastic DT & Resistant Materials teacher to join our dynamic faculty.
This is a full-time, permanent position offering the opportunity to inspire young minds and foster a love for design, creativity, and practical skills.
About the Role :
- Design and deliver engaging and informative Design Technology & Resistant Materials lessons across all year groups (KS3, KS4), adhering to the National Curriculum.
- Cultivate a stimulating and safe learning environment that fosters a love of exploration, creativity, and practical skills.
- Guide students in developing a comprehensive understanding of design principles, materials, and techniques.
- Prepare students for success in external examinations (GCSE, A-Level, as applicable).
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Design Technology & Resistant Materials department and contribute to school-wide events.
The Ideal Candidate :
- Possesses a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Design Technology & Resistant Materials or a closely related subject.
- Demonstrates a strong passion for design, technology, and resistant materials, with a captivating teaching style.
- Excels in communication, interpersonal skills, and classroom management.
- Fosters a positive and inclusive learning environment that challenges and motivates students.
- Holds a steadfast commitment to safeguarding and promoting student well-being.
