Music Teacher - Permanent Position - Merton, London
About the Role :
Our client, an esteemed secondary school located in Merton, London, is seeking a highly qualified and passionate Music Teacher to join their thriving Music Department.
This is a full-time, permanent position commencing in September.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to inspire and nurture a love of music in students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
They will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive and engaging curriculum, fostering a creative and inclusive learning environment, and preparing students for success in their musical pursuits.
Responsibilities :
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated music lessons for students of varying abilities.
- Assess, monitor, and record student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of the Music Department's curriculum and resources.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues to create a supportive and inspiring learning environment.
- Participate in extra-curricular musical activities, such as concerts, ensembles, and productions.
Qualifications and Experience :
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- A degree in Music or a related subject.
- Proven experience teaching Music at the secondary level.
- A strong understanding of the National Curriculum for Music.
- A passion for music and a commitment to inspiring students.
