Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured lessons that follow the national curriculum
- Assess and monitor students' progress, adjusting teaching methods accordingly
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes positive student behaviour
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular activities and initiatives
- Participate in school-wide events and contribute to the school's extracurricular activities
- Maintain accurate records of students' attendance, grades, and other relevant information
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding students' progress and well-being
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Education, History, or a related field
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification
- Proven experience teaching History at the primary or secondary level
- Thorough knowledge of the national curriculum for History
- Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Dedication to professional development and staying current with educational best practices
