As a Good with outstanding features’ Secondary School, we are looking to appoint an experienced RS Teacher, as the Director of Religious Studies.

The Director of Religious Studies will share responsibility for courses, qualifications, assessments and schemes of work within the department.
Having subject and curriculum knowledge so that the department has up-to-date schemes of learning and resources will be invaluable to the leadership of the team.
As a Director of Religious Studies, you will be joining a team of teachers who lead with professionalism and scholarship and who are experts in their field.

- Strategic oversight of KS3 & 4, and planning as the school grows for KS5
- Delivering outstanding RSE lessons
- Leading a Department to raise attainment
- Contribute to teaching, learning and assessment within the faculty
- Full time and permanent position employed by the school
- Inner London pay scale MPS / UPS + TLR 2B (£5632)
- Must hold UK QTS
- Ambitious and driven personality
- Pro active approach
- Good understanding of the RSE and Health Education curriculum
- Confident communicating with families and students about the curriculum and delivery of RSE
- Graded good’ or outstanding’ in recent lesson observations
- Experience of leading a team or managing members of staff ideal
- Previous responsibility an advantage pastoral or curriculum focused
