Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and challenging History lessons to students at various academic levels.
- Develop and implement appropriate assessment strategies to measure students' progress and achievement.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes a love for History and encourages active participation.
- Utilize a range of teaching methods and resources to cater to diverse learning needs and styles.
- Regularly communicate with parents and guardians to provide updates on students' progress and address any concerns or issues.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers to develop and align curriculum plans and resources.
- Attend and actively contribute to staff meetings and professional development sessions.
Requirements
- A degree in History or a related field,
with a teaching qualification recognized in the UK.
- Previous experience teaching History at the primary or secondary level.
- Sound knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for History.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the capability to meet deadlines and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development.
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to support students with diverse learning needs and backgrounds.
