On behalf of our esteemed client, a prominent academy chain renowned for its commitment to academic excellence and student well-being, we are seeking a highly qualified and inspirational Music Teacher to join their vibrant secondary school in Merton.
This full-time, permanent position commences in September and presents an exceptional opportunity for a passionate educator to make a lasting impact on young lives.
Position Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and innovative Music lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, fostering a love of music and nurturing students' musical talents.
They will collaborate with colleagues within the Music department and across the wider school community to create a dynamic and enriching learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver inspiring Music lessons in line with the national curriculum and school's educational philosophy.
- Employ a range of teaching strategies to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of the Music curriculum.
- Participate in extracurricular music activities, such as ensembles, concerts, and productions.
Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification in Music.
- Proven experience teaching Music at the secondary level.
- A strong understanding of the national curriculum for Music.
- Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for sharing musical knowledge and skills.
- The ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
