Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Group Manager position within the Exploitation service in London Borough of Tower Hamlets.
The Exploitation service supports vulnerable adolescents and their families, with a particular focus in the area of child exploitation.
The service provides services to young people and their families / carers affected by going missing from home or care, criminal exploitation, sexual exploitation, serious youth violence and or gang affiliation.
The service supports internal and external organisations to improve the response to children being harmed outside the home.
You will be passionate and driven and be an experienced manager who is looking to expand or develop further your experience in practice.
The service is dynamic and skilled, and consists of a mix of support workers,social workers and police officers working directly with organisations, young people and their families to support positive outcomes and sustainable impact.
You will have the ability to work closely with the team, service manager and multi-agency partnership to drive the strategic vision forward while being innovative and creative in your approach to service delivery.
As a group manager you will work collaboratively and cooperatively with the team and the senior managers to continue and enhance the team development, delivering on key priorities for the service.
The Group Manager will work with the Head of Service as the operational lead for the Exploitation Service. To take overall responsibility for ensuring services are delivered in line with local and National Standards, ensuring safe,
effective and consistent delivery with the primary objective to deliver high quality outcome focused provision to children / young people at risk of or being harmed through exploitation and or violence in Tower Hamlets.
To lead, in partnership with the Head of Service, on ensuring that the Service achieves its performance targets as they relate to Exploitation outputs, outcomes and impact, including safeguarding and stability of care to meet the needs of children, young people and families.
Deliver the Exploitation vision; for children and young people to leave the service with improved circumstances and aspirations.
Ensure Exploitation intervention in the lives of children and families is of a consistently high standard and meets the needs of Tower Hamlets diverse community.
The role will lead the operational delivery to develop workforce delivery in the area of exploitation and children harmed through violence across the wider supporting families division and stake holder partner agencies.
