Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging and stimulating art lessons to students across different age groups and abilities
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to explore their artistic abilities
- Plan, prepare, and assess art projects and assignments in accordance with the school's curriculum
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to help them improve their artistic skills and techniques
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement cross-curricular projects that integrate art with other subjects
- Keep up-to-date with current trends and developments in the field of art education, and share this knowledge with students and colleagues
- Organize and participate in art exhibitions and events to showcase student work and celebrate their achievements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Art Education or a related field
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
- Proven experience teaching art within a primary or secondary education setting
- Excellent knowledge of art history, techniques, and materials
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to inspire and motivate students to reach their full potential in the arts
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
- Flexibility to adapt teaching strategies and approaches to meet the diverse needs of students
