Role : Junior Controls Engineer
Location : Main office (Ilkeston)
Hours : Full-Time, 37.5hrs per week, Flexible Hours
Salary Range : £30,000 to £40,000 (depending on experience)
Actemium Automation Nottingham is seeking a talented Junior Controls Engineer to join our team!
About the role
As a Junior Controls Engineer at Actemium, you will be assisting senior engineers in designing, developing and implementing control systems for industrial automation projects around the East Midlands.
Main Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with experienced engineers to develop control solutions for a variety of industrial applications.
- Assist in the design, programming, and testing of PLC and SCADA systems.
- Participate in project planning, execution, and commissioning activities.
- Analyse system performance and propose improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Provide technical support to clients and contribute to the successful delivery of projects.
The Person :
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Automation, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of PLC programming (Rockwell) and SCADA systems.
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (Profibus, Modbus, Ethernet / IP).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Prior experience in the Food and Beverage sector is a plus.
