Job description
Wayman Group is currently seeking a passionate and experienced French teacher to join a superb independent school in Westminster starting in April.

As a French teacher,
you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons that cater to the individual needs of students and encourage their enthusiasm for the French language and culture.
Your main objective will be to promote a positive learning experience, fostering a love for language learning and helping students improve their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in French.
As a part of the faculty, you will collaborate with other teachers to develop engaging and comprehensive lesson plans, provide constructive feedback to students, and actively participate in school events and initiatives.
Additionally, you will be expected to maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents / guardians regarding their child's academic development.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and effective French lessons to students in line with the school's curriculum guidelines
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel supported and motivated to learn
- Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to cater to different learning styles and abilities
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to promote improvement
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement engaging lesson plans and schemes of work
- Participate in and contribute to school events and activities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and attendance
Requirements
- Qualified teacher status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification in French
- Proven experience teaching French at the primary or secondary level
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the French language, culture, and literature
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Passionate about teaching and contributing to the academic and personal development of students
- Organized and detail-oriented with excellent time management skills
- Familiarity with current teaching methodologies and resources in the field of language education.
