The Role :

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a talented and ambitious individual to take up a fixed-term Specialist Care Manager position within our highly successful Specialist Care team, based in the North of England area.

This is a hybrid role to lead our Specialist Care team and includes responsibilities of a Customer Care Specialist. We are committed to flexible working but expect the role to require you to attend one of our offices for one or two full days per week as a minimum,





with any individual requirements discussed during our interview.

Our dedicated Customer Care Specialists provide assistance to customers with vulnerable circumstances who need additional support with the claims process.

They work alongside the existing claims handling teams across multiple product lines on claims of all values.

Your key responsibilities will include :

Mentoring, training and development of all direct reports

Supporting the team with complex customer and claim circumstances

Ensuring your team meet their targets for client service, technical reporting and quality

Promotion and delivery of our goal of making claims easy for everyone

Understand the importance of excellent customer care, aligned to the identification of vulnerable customers,





and the importance of the application of the Consumer Duty Act 2023, and deliver that with your team

Meeting the financial targets set for your team, and understanding how you can influence the financial outcomes

Completing progressive performance meetings for your team

Compliance with all Sedgwick processes and procedures

Liaison with insurer clients as required, and understanding their bespoke requirements

Building effective working relationships with internal customers and suppliers as required

Delivering dedicated additional support to vulnerable customers, working alongside the claims handling team, and maintaining the highest levels of customer support and contact

Identifying and responding to the customer’s bespoke requirements,





ensuring their interests are at the forefront of claims handling decisions

Keeping accurate daily time recording

Essential for this role :

Have experience in the handling of property insurance claims

Proven experience within a role delivering care for customers

The desire and ability to deliver excellent customer service

Proven management skills, and the confidence to lead a high performing team dealing with complex claims

First class communication skills, both written and verbal

Competent IT skills and the capability to maintain and work from an electronic file to a high auditable standard.

Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise your workload under pressure

The ability to communicate clearly and appropriately with colleagues, and understand and satisfy their needs
