Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging French lessons to students, ensuring alignment with curriculum standards and learning objectives
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes students' language acquisition and cultural understanding
- Assess students' progress through various formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback and guidance for improvement
- Establish effective classroom management strategies to facilitate a conducive learning environment
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and educational staff to develop interdisciplinary projects and initiatives
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to provide updates on students' academic performance and progress
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching strategies and stay updated with educational trends and best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification
- Fluency in French, with excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proven experience teaching French to students at the primary or secondary level
- Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks for language education
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
- Excellent classroom management skills, with a proactive and positive approach
- Passion for teaching and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on students' lives
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills to foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and contribute to a collaborative team environment
