They are currently seeking a dedicated and talented Assistant Accountant to join the team and contribute to our continued success and grow with the business as you study towards ACCA or CIMA.
Job Description
The key responsibilities for the Assistant Accountant Role will include :
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets using double-entry bookkeeping principles.
- Perform reconciliations of accounts and financial data while adhering to double-entry bookkeeping methods.
- Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, with a strong focus on double-entry bookkeeping accuracy.
- Assist with financial analysis and forecasting using double-entry accounting techniques.
- Support internal and external audits, maintaining meticulous double-entry records.
- Participate in the improvement of financial processes and systems, with a keen eye on double-entry bookkeeping procedures.
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate for the Assistant Accountant will have the following :
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Experience working in practice or Audit
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, especially double-entry bookkeeping.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, especially in the context of double-entry bookkeeping.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Knowledge of financial services industry regulations is a plus.
