Nuclear Project Engineer - Contract - Ongoing
Inside IR35 - Rate Negotiable Based on Experience
West Midlands (Hybrid)
Our client is a large Nuclear Energy specialist. Working on the design, build and maintenance of Nuclear Power systems. As part of a group that also manufactures turbines and other equipment for the industry.
They are currently looking for a Project Engineer to work in the production team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Engineer from within Production & Manufacturing.
You will be responsible for producing a production plan and monitoring it. Making the project your own. You will be responsible for bringing all parties together to achieve the best products.
Responsibilities
- Delivery of items, components or assemblies in a timely and costly manner
- To allocate and spend the budget assigned to production and anything under their control
- Provide continual reporting on production, tracking progress and milestones hit
- Lead the development of production and other activities
- Analyse the plan and ensure the project is on time
- Regularly feed updates back to the Project Manager and Cost Engineer
- Coordinate manufacturing operations with procurement and inform of production stages
- Lead on any customer visits
- Be the face of production for the customer and ensure they get to know the PM
- Ensure all installation activities are overseen and coordinated
- Tracking reports
- Be the first point of call for anyone in production
Requirements
- A strategical thinker
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience in producing detailed reports
- A degree or similar
- Green belt or similar
- 5 years experience at this level
- High level of MS Office especially Excel & PowerPoint
- Manufacturing background (Desirable)
- Power BI (Desirable)
