Our OFSTED Outstanding mixed secondary school in West London seeks a talented and enthusiastic Sociology teacher to join our dynamic faculty.
This is a full-time, permanent position offering the opportunity to inspire and nurture young minds in a supportive and academically rigorous environment.
About the Role :
- Design and deliver engaging and informative Sociology lessons across all year groups, adhering to the National Curriculum.
- Cultivate a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that fosters critical thinking, debate, and understanding of social issues.
- Guide students in developing a comprehensive understanding of sociological concepts, theories, and research methods.
- Prepare students for success in external examinations (GCSE, A-Level, as applicable).
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Social Sciences department and contribute to school-wide events.
The Ideal Candidate :
- Possesses a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Sociology or a closely related subject.
- Demonstrates a strong passion for Sociology and a captivating teaching style.
- Excels in communication, interpersonal skills, and classroom management within a diverse learning environment.
- Fosters a positive and inclusive learning environment that challenges and motivates students.
- Holds a steadfast commitment to safeguarding and promoting student well-being.
