Role : Year 5 / Year 6 Teacher
Full-time, One year fixed term
This thriving school is looking for an experienced Upper KS2 Teacher for a Year 5 / Year 6 position they have available.
Qualifications :
- Education : A bachelor's degree in Education or a related field. A postgraduate teaching qualification such as a PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) is often preferred.
- Certification : Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK is essential.
- Experience : Previous teaching experience,
particularly in Key Stage 2 (KS2), is highly desirable. Experience with Year 5 and Year 6 students is a plus.
Skills :
- Subject Knowledge : Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum, including core subjects like Mathematics, English, and Science.
- Classroom Management : Proven ability to manage a classroom effectively, create a positive learning environment, and address the diverse needs of students.
- Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Technology Proficiency : Competence in using educational technology and digital resources to enhance learning.
- Assessment : Skilled in assessing students’ progress and providing constructive feedback.

Responsibilities :

- Classroom Environment : Maintain a safe, organized, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Parental Engagement : Communicate effectively with parents about their child’s progress and participate in parent-teacher meetings.
- Professional Development : Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
